# Most Common N5 Exam Traps

At this basic level, mistakes usually come from carelessness or weak particle memory:

1. Basic Particles

Confusion among は, が, を, に, and で.

2. Masu Conjugation

Mixing up ます, ません, ました, and ませんでした.

3. Similar Vocabulary

Watch words that sound or look similar but belong to completely different contexts.
